How much do I have to pay?
The cost of becoming a barber through our apprenticeship program varies depending on several factors, including whether you’re enrolling in our beginner training course or already have prior experience.
Here’s a general breakdown:
Beginner Training Course: If you're starting from scratch, our training program covers essential skills and techniques in barbering. The cost of the course will be discussed upon registration, and payment plans may be available to make it more affordable.
Apprenticeship Program: As an apprentice, you’ll be able to earn while you learn. The cost of the apprenticeship program is often lower than traditional barbering school tuition since you’re working part-time or full-time in a salon or shop, gaining real-world experience while earning an income.
Additional Fees: There may be additional fees for tools, licensing, and other program materials. We’ll ensure that you have all the information upfront so you can plan accordingly.
Payment Plans: We offer flexible payment options, including installment plans, to make it easier for you to pay for your training and apprenticeship. Our goal is to make the process as manageable as possible while providing you with the education and hands-on experience you need to succeed.
Earning Potential: During the apprenticeship, you’ll be working in a salon or shop, which allows you to earn an income while you learn. This helps offset some of the costs of the program, giving you the opportunity to gain real-world experience and build your client base.
How long would it take for me to become a barber and start working?
The time it takes to become a barber and start working depends on your prior experience. If you already have some experience, whether it's self-taught or from a beginner training course in barbering or cosmetology, you can fast-track your journey through our apprenticeship program.

We also provide career support to help you connect with potential employers and further your professional growth.
Our program is designed to set you up for success and open the doors to a variety of job opportunities within the beauty and grooming industry.
What is the key difference between a barber license and cosmetology license?
The primary distinction between a barber license and a cosmetology license lies in the scope of services each permits:
- Barber License: Focuses on services such as haircuts, beard grooming, and straight razor shaves, often specializing in men's haircuts. However, barbers are still trained and legally able to cut women’s hair as well.
- Cosmetology License: Covers a broader range of beauty services, including hair cutting and styling, coloring, makeup application, skincare treatments, and nail care. While cosmetologists are trained to work with all genders and ages, they are equipped to provide services that include not only haircuts (including male haircuts) but also a wide variety of beauty treatments such as skin and nail care.
